Rolls-Royce’s first mass-produced electric car, the Specter unveiled in 2022, will not be the last. The BMW-owned company announced that every new car launched after 2030 will be electric only, although it stressed that there is still room in the range for V12-powered models rolls-royce spectre.
”All future Rolls-Royces, new ones, will only be electric while maintaining what Rolls-Royce stands for,” said company director Torsten Müller-Ötvös to the British newspaper Bil . He added that this thinking explains Spectre’s overall design. ”That’s why we also decided to go with classic Rolls-Royce proportions. It had to look like a Rolls-Royce: monolithic, big stature, it proudly wears the pantheon grille. It drives like a Rolls-Royce, it accelerates like a Rolls-Royce, it floats like a Rolls-Royce … it has all the same materials – while being electric,” he said rolls-royce spectre.
That doesn’t mean Rolls-Royce’s design department is stuck in a rut. The modular platform that underpins the Specter (pictured) will serve as the foundation for other electric cars, and Müller-Ötvös told Bil and he is open to experimenting with ”very different technologies” and ”different forms,” although he stopped with giving specific details. ”[Electric technology fits perfectly with the brand”heopined
Rolls-Royce expects the Specter to be able to drive up to 260 miles on a single charge. It’s not much, but the company explained that driving range is not a big issue for its customers. They mostly use their cars in city centers and they can charge at home and at work.
If you’re going to save up for a V12-powered Rolls-Royce, it’s not too late.
”I still foresee a very good deal for us in the future for Cullinans, for ghosts,” Müller-Ötvös stated in the same interview.
